The Service Provider worked with William Thompson, Director of Facilities Management, and his staff throughout the process to identify LED fixtures with the flexibility to dim from full luminosity down to 10% quickly, easily and without delay. In spring of 2020, Lockport Township worked with a ComEd Energy Efficiency Program Service Provider to track down fixtures with the proper capabilities that would also help them reduce their energy costs.

The school staff was interested in upgrading to more modern, energy efficient lights but for a long time they were unable to find fixtures that would allow them to dim the lights to 10%. The east campus is home to a large auditorium that was built in 1996 which used 500-watt incandescent light bulbs. Lockport Township High School is a large education facility serving 4,000 students from Lockport, Homer Glen and Crest Hill.
